The trip would consume multiple days and nights through relatively harsh and, at times, dangerous terrain. Carriages were packed to capacity with Pilgrims embarked on the Jhaniyah Pilgrimage to Amma, The Forbidden City.
The caravan was met at the cutoff road to Amma by the legendary Knowledge-Keeper, Axarra and her escort. She would be their guide for the remainder of the journey. During this period they all came to view her as patient, capable, and sensitive to the needs of this diverse collection of followers from distant lands. Ultimately they looked upon her as their unofficial Patron of the Faithful.
It was because the Pilgrims held her in such high regard that during Tsaiya, the Lacinian High Festival, she was presented a special commemorative gift: An Amitra Feathered Metal Nibbed Calligraphy Pen specially designed for her.
The exotic feathered writing apparatus was the perfect gift for the legendary Axarra.
As time passed the exclusive writing instrument took on a mystique that ultimately eclipsed even Axarra's fame and was enshrined in the Wayo Province Hall of Remembrance. Additionally, the Pen was given Ntonit-Chac status by the highly respected Tiubetha: A powerful sectarian female Lacinian Guild.
The Jhaniyah Masters have since granted only one licence to reproduce the esteemed calligraphy apparatus and this was bestowed on Devi, the original designer, close friend, and confidant of Axarra.
